Who doesn’t love, own or live in denim? Especially at this time of the year. Now, tell us where to find the perfect pair of jeans, particularly for curvier frames. Hard, right? Right. Shopping for jeans generally isn’t easy for most people, but for those with a smaller waist and larger hips or thighs… it can be TOUGH, as it feels like denim either perfectly grazes your waist or gently hugs your bum, but never both; at the same time.

Luckily there are now “curvy” jeans and ranges, for those who need some extra room in the hips/ bum area, but wear a smaller waist size. These fabrics are great at and designed to smooth, sculpt, and stretch for a comfortable and flattering fit.

Saving you trips to the fitting room, your tailor and ordering 1 item in multiple sizes; we’re sharing 3 of our favourite brands and pairs…

Everlane

This brand almost always comes up in every search for curvy frames. It’s curvy line, with its adjusted hip-to-waist ratio, was specifically made to solve that annoying waist gap problem with its high rise and elasticity fabric. Well made and comfortable, the ’90s Cheeky JeanCheeky Straight Jean and Authentic Stretch High-Rise Skinny Jean are very popular with their different washes and lengths.

Abercrombie & Fitch

This brand loves curves! The Curve Love range is perfect for hourglass and pear shapes with its nipped-in waist and extra 2 inches through the hip and thigh. Super flattering and affordably priced, in addition to their varying length options; ranging from extra short to extra-long, the brand is a great option. Try their 90’s-style ultra-high rise straight jeans, if you’re like us and tired of skinny jeans and wanna be like the cool kids wear straight leg.

Agolde

A little bit on the pricier side, but very much worth it… Agolde needs to be on your list. Responsibly sewn and sustainably manufactured, Agolde know how to accommodate a smaller waist and rounded hips. Especially with their 90s High Waist Loose Fit Jeans and the ’90s Ripped Loose Fit Jeans that manage to perfectly accentuate curves and not add bulk.

Top tip – order down a size or two from your regular size, as these come up large.
