Now ageing is inevitable and our skin will lose elasticity as we get older. That’s a fact. But to stop premature ageing there are some things you can do to protect your skin from becoming dry, wrinkly and discoloured. Nowhere is this more important than your hands! There’s no hiding them huns, you use them everyday and they can become neglected, especially if you wash them a lot, have a job that means you’re always using them or sunbathe regularly.
1) Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise
This might sound obvious, but you need to lock in that moisture on your hands because day to day life really takes its toll. Use gloves when washing up or cleaning with harsh chemical products and keep a handy travel size lotion in your bag or car so you’re never caught out on the go.
2) Pamper those paws
A leave-on hand mask can rehydrate rough or dry skin and quicken cell renewal. Face Theory’s hand mask is filled with ingredients to fight against environmental damage.
3) Be gentle with your hands
When it comes to washing our hands, we likely do it multiple times a day. Harsher soaps will strip the skin of not just dirt but also the natural oils your skin uses to lubricate itself. Try gentle cleansers that are ph-balanced to use daily.
