We’ve been sharing everything from the best coats to buy to the cosiest winter candles to fill your room – we’ve been doing our all to give you our best advice! But the best is yet to come and it’s regarding all things winter bedding.
We spend about half of our lives sleeping so having comfortable bedding that matches the season is more important than you think (yes, people have different duvets for the summer and winter months!). So if you’ve been thinking about making the switch to cosier bedding this winter then you’ve come to the right place.
Ideally you want to increase the tog of your duvet. During the summer, you’ll see advice pointing you to select a duvet with 4.5 tog but ideally, this needs to be cranked up in the winter time to keep you as warm as possible. As a general rule of thumb, 10.5 is a great selection for the winter, but if you already own a 4.5 tog, the most convenient and cost effective route to go down is attaching to another 4.5 duvet. Hungarian good down is a great filling to keep you warm yet keep the air circulating around you so you don’t overheat. If you’ve got allergies that need to be considered but you love there down feel, there are plenty options on the market that can cater to your needs.
